International Women’s Day Concert at the Harmony Centre, Sydney
“Celebration of Women and Spirituality”
Saturday 6 March 2010, 8pm 10.30pm
176 Parramatta Road, Annandale
Beautiful chanting and music from different spiritual paths collaborate to celebrate women’s liberation and empowerment. Coinciding with the annual world-wide celebration of International Women's Day, all are welcome to participate in this special event, including children.
Performances include Anique Radiant Heart, Mignon Lee-Warden, The Spiritfest Choir, and Harmony Centre special guests. Entry is by donation which will be used to support local women’s projects, including The Women's Library, Newtown. Supper will be provided.

This event comes from a diverse collective of women who have come together to organise a conference which will enliven and ignite the Sydney feminist movement. They invite you to join them for two days of lively debate, workshops and discussion about where we are from, where we are at and where we are going. The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival is the world’s premier gay and lesbian cultural festival. Spanning two weeks in 2010, from the 19th February 6th March, the Festival aims to increase visibility of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities and their culture. Key dates: Fair Day - 21 February; Parade - 27 February; Party - 6 March from 10pm.

The Red Rattler Theatre

Run and staffed by unpaid artists and activists, The Red Rattler is a new creative playground for performers, musicians, artists, designers, multi-media makers, experimentalists, film-makers, theorists, activists, collective organisers, and local punters, fitted with a full PA, stage, LED lighting rig, projector and screen, licensed bar, two non-residential artist studios, and a rooftop garden.

VIII Gay Games Cologne

The biggest sports and cultural festival in the world will take place in Cologne from July 31 to August 7, 2010. Some 12,000 participants from more than 70 countries will converge for the Gay Games VIII Cologne 2010 and celebrate the principles of participation, inclusion and personal best.
The motto is “Be part of it!” And the invitation is open to everyone regardless whether you are heterosexual or homosexual, male, female, transgender or transsexual, and regardless of religion, nationality, ethnic heritage, political convictions, athletic skills, physical capabilities, age or physical condition.
